About

Born and raised in Florida, Kaley Labrador is a Cuban/Guatemalan who has lived her life surrounded by story telling. Growing up with Disney World in her backyard, her imagination was filled with fairytales and adventure. Although she struggled with academics in her early childhood, she found a love in books that led her to pursue writing as a career.

After graduating high school, she (ironically) pursued a degree in English Language Arts Education at the University of Central Florida. She taught English Language Arts to middle and high school students for four years before deciding to pursue a Masters in Writing with a focus in fiction from Johns Hopkins University.  She especially enjoys writing speculative fiction pieces for young adults. As a Graduate student, she honed her skills in fiction techniques and storytelling while working with published authors and other aspiring writings.

When she's not writing, Kaley enjoys exploring various parts of Orlando, from discovering new restaurants, attending art festivals, and exploring the springs. She strives to maintain a balanced life between working out at the gym, maintaining a social life, and pursuing a career she loves.
